Meraki Talent are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant in Edinburgh for a new opportunity with a leading property company in Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with accountancy experience and a property background. The Accounts Assistant's duties: 

- Carrying out bank reconciliations 
- Maintenance of the purchase and sales ledger
- Posting cheques and cash received from clients
- Processing direct debit payments
- Assisting with the VAT reports 
- Assisting with the credit control responsibilities and chasing aged debt
- Calculating and issuing interest charges 
- Responsible for discussing arrears and issuing reminder letters inline with company policy 

The Accounts Assistant's background: 

- Previous experience working in a property company 
- 1+ years experience working within a similar position 
- Experience working within credit control and a purchase ledger position 
- Current responsibility carrying out Bank Reconciliations
