Meraki Talent is currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant on a contract basis for an initial 2 month period on behalf of our client, a highly regarded construction company based in West Edinburgh. Reporting into the HR Manager, this role will provide HR Administration support to the overall department. Our client is looking for a candidate who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, is able to demonstrate high attention to detail the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and a keen interest in pursuing a career within HR.
Responsibilities of the Administration Assistant:
Undertaking administration tasks required to onboard “New Starters”
Updating the HR system with all new employee information
Assisting with the creation of contracts, preparing new starter paperwork and issuing contractual update letters
Ensuring the HR database is kept updated at all times
Issuing general correspondence and reference requests for former employers
Coordinating diaries and booking meetings using MS Outlook
Providing administration support to the wider HR team
Acting as the first point of contact for the department and fielding queries
Background of the Administration Assistant:
Prior office administration experience gained within a corporate environment
Expert experience of MS Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
