A globally recognised Financial Services client in Edinburgh is looking for a part-qualified Assistant Accountant to join their close-knit team. They are looking for an experienced accountant who is looking to make a move into a finance role in the financial services sector. The client can offer progression opportunities, a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

  

The Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:

  • Production of financial accounts
  • Maintenance and updating of accounting records including reconciliations
  • Assisting with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts
  • Preparation of fund billings on a quarterly basis
  • Assisting with the analysing of corporate costs and completing revenue reforecasts
  • Recording and settlement of company balances
  • Assisting with the preparation and completion of management accounts

 

The Background of the Assistant Accountant:

  • Degree holder in a relevant subject
  • Studying towards CIMA/ACCA qualification
  • 2 years+ Experience within an accounting position
  • Experience working within the financial services sector would be highly desirable
