Meraki Talent are currently recruiting for a large international accounting firm who are looking to grow and strengthen their audit practice in Arnhem, the Netherlands.

Within this audit practice, there are several specialised divisions, such as Consumer Markets, Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Communications & Media and Building & Construction. 


Responsibilities of the Assistant Audit Manager:

  • Operationally controlling the audit process for clients
  • The planning, supervision and coordination of audit activities 
  • To serve as the first point of contact for clients in carrying out the audit work
  • The planning, supervision and coordination of the work including division of labour
  • Managing, coaching and encouraging junior employees in their development
  • Review and comment on accounting documents (e.g. annual accounts)
  • Preparation of internal and external reports
  • Drafting the budget for the internally agreed hours budget and monitoring the projects
  • Making billing proposals and drawing up the post-calculations at the request of the manager

Profile of the Assistant Audit Manager:

  • University degree in accounting / finance / related topic
  • You have completed or have almost completed a professional accounting qualification such as RA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent
  • Analytical and methodical
  • You have at least 4 - 7 years of experience and professional knowledge of audit practice for large companies (corporate clients)
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Stress-resistant, resilient and can handle constructive criticism well
  • Excellent command of the English language – Dutch is preferred but not essential
  • Experience with IFRS, SOx, US GAAP and / or Dutch GAAP.
