Key responsibilities of an Audit Senior Manager

  • Lead and control engagements, ensuring all work carried out by the team is compliant with, client, statutory and company requirements.
  • Understand internal and external market factors, responsible for the delivery and timekeeping of engagements.
  • Directly supervise the budgeting, planning, control and delivery of effective service in accordance with client, statutory and company requirements.
  • Lead and coach junior staff, taking accountability for the supervision of their portfolio along with providing feedback throughout the year on their development.
  • Develop new and existing relationships with clients, business departments and staff to continue to identify and improve existing and future audit requirements.
  • Report directly to Partners and Directors to supervise the effectiveness of the service.
  • Provide reports to the Client Management Team and Audit Committee.

Requirements of the Audit Senior Manager Role

  • Must be ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Current working knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP experience encouraged.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word programs.
  • Recent experience as a Senior Manager with a Big 4 / Top 10 firm.
  • Considerable audit experience for a broad portfolio of mixed sector clients.
