Meraki Talent are supporting a leading asset manager in recruiting a Compliance Assistant to join their Edinburgh office for maternity period cover.

 

Supporting the compliance policies, reporting and training function, this role will work with an experience team in a varied role, responsible for, but not restricted to, compliance mailbox management, compliance system maintenance, delivery of on boarding training and to monitor ongoing compliance training across the firm.

 

Responsibilities of the Compliance Assistant:

  • Assist with the administration of firm wide Compliance training
  • Support the maintenance and update of the entity and individual listings database.
  • Assist with the administration of the business events process.
  • Assist in the preparation of assurance reports to relevant boards and committees on compliance with regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Organise and schedule department and project meetings.
  • Support the maintenance of the group compliance manual.
  • Assist with the quarterly client due diligence request process and RfP process.
  • Assist with the upkeep of department policies, procedures and spreadsheets, including flowcharts and pivot tables.

 

Background of the Compliance Assistant:

  • Experience of working in an administrative role
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment (specifically in investment management sector is desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate at all levels
