Meraki Talent’s leading global Asset Servicing client is shortlisting for a Data Scientist to join their Risk and Compliance function on a permanent basis in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and have ownership over your role. This role forms a key part of the businesses Risk and Compliance function developing models and analysing data to ensure that transaction activity meets regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities of the Data Scientist (Financial Services):

-Developing data analytics and models to support the businesses Risk Management function and monitor products, sales and post-sale risks

-Delivering regulatory compliance analytics through data management, visualisation and statistical analysis

-Design and deploy various analytical and predictive models

-Enable the business to monitor transaction activity


Background of the Data Scientist (Financial Services):

-Postgraduate qualification (MSc/PhD ect) in a quantitative discipline

-At least three years’ experience working in an analytical role

-Experience working within a Risk Management function

-Experience working within Financial Services, essential

-Knowledge of statistical packages R, Python, SQL ect and data visualisation
