Meraki Talent’s highly acclaimed institutional asset management client base in Edinburgh city centre require a Environment Analyst to join them on a contract basis for 6 months initially. This role will be working within our client's Multi-Asset & Fixed Income Programme. As the Environment Analyst will be a key role within the programme., the Environment Analyst will be responsible for the day to day management and support of the project test environments; working closely with the Project Managers, Technical Leads, Developers and System Testers.

 

Responsibilities of the Environment Analyst;

  • Day-to-day ownership & management of the programme test environments
  • Build and deploy changes into the test environments
  • Set up and maintain source control branches
  • Set-up and maintain version control across test environments
  • Support the environment requirement / design process for each project
  • Maintain Oracle & SQL Database, including coordination of data refreshes
  • Own the security/ access management across the test environments
  • Carry out smoke tests to ensure environments are fit for purpose
  • Support the “Release to Production” process
  • Manage and carry out application specific processes
  • Support the maintenance of investment platform environments
  • Set-up and monitor batch data processes, including start of day, intraday and real-time processing
  • Set-up and maintain Rancher environments
  • Manage the system integration and user access to 3rd party test environments
  • Maintain and document the environment management processes
  • Continuously improve the test environment standards, processes and documentation

Background of the Environment Analyst;

  • Full Application Lifecycle
  • Test Environment Management / Support
  • Configuration Management and Release Management processes
  • Source Code management
  • RDBMS (ideally Oracle)
  • TFS / VSTS or equivalent CI / CD / ALM tooling
  • C# / .NET
  • Oracle PL/SQL
