Meraki Talent are currently recruiting for an External Audit Manager working in Insurance with a leading Big 4 firm. The role is based in Malta and would provide an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career in financial services.

Duties and Responsibilities of an External Audit Manager

  • Intuitively assisting with the control of a large portfolio of clients while reporting back to more senior staff.
  • Personal involvement in clients financial management.
  • Strong presence in the business development tasks to source and gather information on new and current clients.
  • Contribute to the development of the teams and your technical acumen.
  • Strategise and overcome complicated technical difficulties.
  • Assist in the running and completion of large scale projects.
  • Mentor, teach and supervise junior members of staff.
  • Remain in the loop with the local and national business and economic landscape.
  • Continually build and grow relationships inside the company.

Requirements of an External Audit Manager

  • An ACCA / ACA or a recognised Accounting University Degree.
  • 5 years of external audit experience within a Big 4 firm. The majority of this should be within the Insurance Sector.
  • Experience of planning external audit.
  • Risk and control identification and experience of preparing, reviewing and carrying out an external audit test.
  • Experience of the identification and reporting of problems and potential improvement strategies to clients.
  • Very capable in both verbal and written English.
