Finance Business Partner

 Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £45-55,000 + car allowance + excellent benefits
 Job type: Permanent
 Closes: closed

This Finance Business Partner job in Edinburgh with a financial services business is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant with post qualifying experience to join a recently formed team in a visible and highly commercial role.  Working as part of a tight-knit team, the Finance Business Partner will work with a number of senior stakeholders, providing financial support to a suite of commercial banking products.  It’s a great opportunity for a commercially-minded accountant with a business partnering background (ideally with some financial services experience) to make a demonstrable difference to the business.

As Finance Business Partner, your primary responsibility will be to provide analysis and in-depth profit and loss commentary tied to a specific product or market, in addition to balance sheet reconciliation and commentary.  As Finance Business Partner, you’ll also assist with the resolution of urgent ad-hoc queries and requests from the Business and external bodies.  You’ll also manage the month-end close process, managing product control and oversight related projects, whilst providing strategic recommendations to senior management and the Executive.

To be successful, it’s important that you’ve got a track record of positively influencing others and are able to establish and build relationships with stakeholders to support the delivery of timely information and analysis to inform business decisions.  The ability to effectively challenge others in a supportive way in order to drive improvements in performance will also be another measurement of success.

If you’re a fully qualified accountant, with post-qualifying experience in commercial finance role and looking for a position that offers the chance to shape the decision making process, please get in touch.
