Financial Accountant

 Location: Edinburgh
 Salary: £40-50,000 + benefits
 Job type: Permanent
 Closes: closed

This Financial Accountant job in Edinburgh with a global financial services business is an outstanding opportunity for a newly/recently qualified accountant with an audit background to make a first move from the profession.  Reporting to the Financial Control Manager, you will enjoy a wide variety of duties and responsibilities, giving you an excellent insight into the business and a platform for growth and development.

As Financial Accountant, your key focus will be to support the delivery of timely and accurate technical information, related board papers and detailed project accounting analysis.  You will work collaboratively with other accountants across the wider finance team, ensuring that all technical accounting is consistent, up to date and accurate.  As Financial Accountant, you will keep abreast of changes in technical standards and how they relate to the UK business, whilst ensuring compliance with the Group accounting policy.

To be successful, you should be a fully qualified accountant with financial reporting skills either as a Financial Accountant, or an external auditor looking to make a move from professional practice and into an in-house role.  You should have good technical knowledge, and ideally have had some exposure to financial acquisitions.  You’ll be able to work closely with a number of stakeholders, both within and outwith finance and be able to produce high quality and accurate work to tight deadlines.

If you’re a newly/recently qualified accountant looking for a platform to launch your career with one of the country’s most fast-paced and dynamic businesses, then this role is for you.
