Financial Crime - Assistant Manager

Meraki Talent are currently recruiting for an Assistant Operations Manager for a long term fixed term contract within Glasgow.


As part of this remediation project team, you will be responsible for managing a team of 6 operations administrators , ensuring AML standards are met.  This position will report directly to the Head of Financial Crime.  


Key duties will include;

  • Leading and managing a team to ensure objectives are met within set timescales
  • Liaising with key stakeholders, both internally and externally to obtain additional needed information, relating to cases.
  • Assisting the team with complex and high risk cases, escalating where necessary
  • Effectively planning and distributing a demanding case load
  • Ensure quality of cases is consistent and meets AML / KYC standards
  • Producing meaningful MI for Head of Financial Crime


This is a busy and demanding project, which will require an assistant manager who can effectively plan and distribute workloads, ensuring targets are met.  It is essential that applicants will have gained team management experience and be able to demonstrate a positive and supportive working environment. 


Applicants should have gained AML experience and have a strong working knowledge of dealing with KYC/AML for a wide range of client types, including private individuals, corporates, partnerships, trusts etc.  Previous project experience in dealing with complex cases would also be advantageous for this role. 


This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract, based within Glasgow, offering a January 2020 start.
