Meraki Talent are currently recruiting for a Fund Accountant to join a leading financial services client.

The Fund Accountant will be responsible for completing accounting working papers and financial statements /reports to a high standard, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time and client requirements are always prioritised.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate interim & annual long and short reports within agreed timescales and ensure timely delivery of the reports to Compliance, Trustee/Depositary, FCA & Clients
  • Prepare accurate working papers within agreed timescales
  • Prepare quarterly working papers for tax provisions within agreed timescales when required
  • Prepare audit packs and send to Trustee / Depositary within required timescales.  Resolve any queries/issues within agreed timescales
  • Calculate distribution rates / yields / TERs /OCFs accurately and within agreed timescales
  • Implement any regulatory changes as advised and provide technical advice to other teams if and when required
  • To ensure you meet all KPI’s relevant to your business area
  • On-going review of all tasks within your designated area, ensuring that improvements are made which result in enhanced client servicing
  • To contribute to and assist with any initiatives or projects relevant to your business area.
  • Respond to telephone enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Log, maintain and respond to written client enquiries in a timely manner
  • Ability to provide cover to an agreed standard all tasks undertaken within the team


Candidate Profile



  • As a minimum the job holder should have GCSEs (A-C) or Standard Grades (1-2) passes including Maths and English
  • Preferably working towards an accounting qualification with a recognised professional body or qualified accountant with a recognised professional body


Key Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in fund accounting/reports production
  • Good communication skills – verbal and written
  • Computer literate
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
