Meraki Talent’s client is currently looking to recruit a new Global Head of Counterparty Credit Risk into their Glasgow site.  Our client is an instantly recognisable Global Banking firm.  They serve a diverse range of client across Corporate, Commercial and Personal and are developing their service, products and people to differentiate them at a time of significant change within the Banking sector.


Our client is well renowned for their approach to and investment in risk management.  It is an area they invest heavily in from a technology and people perspective and which gives them the governance and controls to run their business sustainably and, in a manner, which has customer outcomes as their priority.


As Global Head of Counterparty Credit Risk you will have responsibility for the counterparty credit risk reporting process and production which includes CCR metrics, limited management and CCR back testing.  The role sits within Risk Information Services which provides risk reporting and analytical support to Risk Management, Treasury & Finance.  This business area runs production, control and reporting processes for a suite of internal and external risk and capital metrics.


Within Counterparty Credit Risk the team run a range of processes including production of relevant risk metrics, risk reporting validation, counterparty risk limit excess management, new product review processes and model monitoring & back-testing.


This is a senior hire for the Risk business and will also act as the Glasgow site lead for Risk Information Services.  The role will manage, lead and set the strategic direction for counterparty credit risk, engage with regulators and be a key point of liaison with the CRO, Chief Credit Officer and Group Finance/Treasury.


For this role my client is seeking a Director level Risk and/or Finance professional who understands counterparty credit risk and reporting control processes.  Senior leadership experience within a complex financial institution is required as is understanding of best practice in respect of risk tools and the regulatory environment. (eg Basel).  This is a superb opportunity to take on a senior role with a Banking organisation which is committed to Scotland.
