This Group Reporting Accountant job in Edinburgh with a global financial services company is a great opportunity for a newly or recently qualified accountant to make a first or possibly second move from professional practice.  As Group Reporting Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to support the Group’s Capitalisation policy as well as support related ledger and project coding.  As a member of the wider group finance reporting team, the Group Reporting Accountant will ensure full understanding of, and compliance with, the group’s capitalisation policies and processes right across the group.


In this role, you’ll work with various stakeholders across the business to challenge capitalisation proposals, taking control of capitalised costs and ensuring all project and invoice coding complies with the purchase ledger process.  In addition, as Group Reporting Accountant, you will be responsible for the delivery of all reporting according to the group timetable, be responsible for the delivery for key accruals for the monthly reporting process and maintain strong controls and full documentation for audit purposes.


To be successful, it is envisaged that you will be a newly or recently qualified accountant with an audit or group reporting background, looking for an opportunity to join a group finance team at a very exciting period of time.   You will be well versed in financial reporting requirements, and have the ability to work with and influence a wide stakeholder base across finance.  This is a brilliant opportunity to join the group finance team of a truly world-class business, and the opportunities that this brings.
