Meraki Talent’s FinTech client based in Edinburgh are looking to recruit an Incident Manager on a permanent basis for their Edinburgh Office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced global business. This is a new role to the business and will be a hybrid role of both an ITIL Incident manager and to act as wider support to manage project escalations.



Responsibilities of the Incident Manager;

  • Designing and implementing an ITIL aligned incident management process. Managing all incidents, analysis and response to issue log items, problems and root cause analysis.
  • Actively looking to minimise the number of incidents.
  • Creation of standard artefacts and communication channels.
  • Managing the response time for all Incidents within SLAs for each client.
  • Ensuring temporary and permanent fix times are within SLAs for each client
  • Taking ownership of issues and can coordinate incidents and issues when they happen from an Infrastructure perspective.
  • Sense of urgency.
  • Key coordination skills with internal stakeholders in a rapidly moving environment.
  • As part of the wider infrastructure team this role is expected to support broader team activities such a client due diligence and audit requests in the Incident Management remit.
  • The ability to work across teams and influence outside of your direct remit is key.
  • This role will be required to be responsive outside of business hours in line with the role.



Background of the Incident Manager;

  • Degree qualified 2:1 or above or equivalent
  • Significant experience in senior Incident Management role or equivalent
  • Successfully managed Infrastructure projects
  • Strategic thinking, independent and delivery-focused working style
  • Superior problem solving capabilities
  • Able to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent organisational, administration and time-management skills
  • Excellent team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients
