Interim Corporate Tax Assistant Manager (In-House)

 Location: Edinburgh
 Salary: £250-300 per day
 Job type: Permanent
 Closes: closed

This interim Corporate Tax Assistant Manager job in Edinburgh with a leading financial services company is a great opportunity for a corporate tax professional to add value to the tax compliance, reporting and advisory service.  This is a varied corporate tax role and exists to ensure that the business complies with its tax compliance and reporting requirements, thus generating value for the business.

Reporting to the Corporate Tax Manager as part of a tight-knit team, you’ll work with a variety of stakeholders across the business to build relationships and offer tax advice at an early stage.  You’ll be able to communicate complex concepts and recommendations to a non-technical audience and manager tax related procedures and issues for relevant business areas.  Naturally, you’ll ensure that that tax reporting and compliance is complete and accurate; liaising with HMRC and other external bodies as required.  As Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, you’ll also lead small projects or assist with large projects as required.

To be successful, it is envisaged that you’ll be a fully qualified accountant or tax advisor (or be a skilled practitioner with several years’ practical experience of UK Corporate Tax).  You will have a good understanding of compliance from a large corporate perspective and have had some exposure to planning/project work.  You may be working for a CA firm looking to make a move in-house, or you may already be working on an interim basis for a corporation and be looking for your next assignment.  This role is with one of the UK’s leading businesses – offering a meritocratic and supportive working environment and the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders across the business.
