Investment Specialist - Fixed Income

Working as part of a team of 4, our client is looking for someone to act as a proxy for fund managers for various tasks including sales / client meetings as well as updating fund information and commentary.

 

You must have experience and track record of making presentations to clients and securing business against competitors. This could be within product management, in an on-desk role, or have been working as an investment specialist within asset management.

You may currently be aligned to a different asset class but having experience of working within fixed income would be preferred. Ideally you will have some professional qualifications such as the IMC or CFA or be willing to work towards these.

 

Some of the tasks will include:

 

  • Provide clients, prospects and consultants with ongoing updates about the company’s investment philosophy, process and Investment style of specific products
  • Liaise with performance and risk teams to ensure effective communication of key measures to distribution teams and third parties
  • Serve as primary investment contact for assigned internal clients or working in conjunction with sales teams for external clients
  • Participates in, record and develop effective investment strategy meetings with investment managers.
  • Assists in the development of new products alongside managers, distribution the Product team or other interested parties
  • Provides guidance to Sales & Marketing in relation to content for Fixed Income material e.g. literature, presentations, RFP’s, etc.
  • Take a material role in supporting business development activities (i.e. new business pitches, consultant meetings)
  • Develop an understanding of Fixed Income investment capabilities elsewhere in the wide businesses with a view to representing the UK based capability offering in a global context.
