Meraki Talent’s client is currently seeking a talented Operational Risk Director to join their business on a permanent basis.  The role reports into the Managing Director for Operational Risk and is aligned to their Private Banking business.  Our client is an instantly recognisable Global Banking brand which has demonstrated considerable commitment to their Scotland based campus.

 

The Private Bank Operational Risk team is a 2LOD which provides the Private Bank business in the 1st line with a framework and tools to effectively manage operational risk.  The team provides oversight and review and challenge on the outputs from the ORMF.

 

As the Operational Risk Director for this team you will lead an international team of risk professionals, managing objective setting, setting expectations on delivery, developing the team and individuals and managing resources.  You will be providing insight to inform business and strategic decision making and will be attending (or being a member of) several key risk committees.  Further key aspects of the role will be to provide independent oversight of the risk and control profile of the Private Bank as well as to providing thought leadership to senior 1st and 2nd line management and the ExCo.

 

This is a Director level role which requires a highly competent Operational Risk professional who brings domain expertise and Private Banking processes and products.  A demonstrable track record of engaging and influencing senior management is required as is a clear understanding of OR frameworks and their fit within ERMF.
