Operational Tax Analyst

 Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £Highly Competitive with Excellent Benefits package
 Job type: Permanent
 Closes: closed

This Operational Tax Analyst job in Edinburgh is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional with approximately 3-5 years operational taxes experience to join a world class asset manager.  Working as part of the wider tax team, the Operational Tax Analyst will play a key part in the integration of all Operational taxes into the wider tax team.

As Operational Tax Analyst, you'll assist with the oversight of tax services provided by custodians to investment funds in the UK, US, Canada and Ireland.  You'll prepare withholding tax documentation required for relief at source and tax reclaims and assist with the appraisal of tax issues which are relevant to new investment markets and instruments.  Furthermore, you'll assist with ad-hoc queries from Operational areas in relation to operational taxes, for example: withholding taxes, stamp duty, Capital Gains Tax etc.

To be successful, it’s anticipated that you’ll have at least 3 years’ Operational Tax experience perhaps working for another asset management firm, or perhaps a Custodian or Third Party Administrator.  Familiarity with the structure and operation of investment funds in multiple jurisdictions would be an advantage, but is by no means essential.
