Meraki Talent’s multinational financial services client are looking for an Operations Oversight Manager on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract to be based within their operation in Glasgow.

This is a key role as you’ll be responsible for supporting the "Head of" in day to day management and control of Oversight elements of the UK Operation

Responsibilities of the Position

  • Primary responsibility to oversee the Data & Derivative services on behalf of UK Clients, including Governance meetings, Ops to Ops calls, working with Clients directly as escalation when needed
  • Controls and procedure reviews as well as new development implementation
  • To support maintenance of Pricing Policy and Global Valuation process
  • Ensure robust internal Oversight controls are in place to mitigate operational risk.
  • Investigation and resolution of complex client and internal queries
  • Opportunity to oversight and govern offshore teams
  • Develop strong relationships with all internal and external clients as well as offshore partners
  • Ensure adherence to procedures and internal policies are adhered to.
  • Lead various client calls on behalf of team
  • Ensuring that client deliverables are met to agreed service level agreements.
  • Oversight and influencing implementation of resilient processes and systems to support new/changes to business products including mandatory changes to market/governance and regulations
  • Ensure communication with the client, both internal and external, is effective.
  • Working closely with other relevant operational peers to ensure that process risks are minimised.

Background of the Position:

  • Oversight of Data Management, Derivatives and Client Service model provision for UK Clients
  • Managing a team including regular 1-2-1s and team meetings
  • Coach, develop and train staff to maximise performance
  • Succession planning
  • Conduct interim and annual appraisals
  • Absence and poor performance management
  • Financial understanding and analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of different instrument and asset types
  • Proven experience of resolving accounting issues relating to complex investment products
  • Strong communication skills to engage with various stakeholders across the business
  • In-depth understanding and experience of relevant regulatory standards sand industry best practices
