This part-time Management job in East Lothian for an autonomous division of a larger group is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to work in tandem with the directors of the business by providing high quality management information to help support the decision making process.  Reporting to the Managing Director of the business, the part-time management accountant will play a key part in the development of the business via robust business plans including the annual and five-year plan.  Underpinning the plan, will be high quality monthly management accounts, prepared by yourself, that will include detailed commentary and analysis; budgets, forecasts and cashflow forecasts.  


As part-time management accountant, you'll analyse key financial trends to aid the decision making process, whilst keeping a tight lid on costs/expenditure.  You'll work closely with key stakeholders/budget holders and liaise with external auditors as and when necessary.


To be successful, it is envisaged that you will be a fully qualified accountant with post-qualifying experience gained in a commercial environment and be comfortable facing off to Board level individuals.  A keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise your work effectively will be crucial to your success.  Good IT skills, particularly around Excel and SAGE would be particularly useful.


It's envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to perform the duties of part-time management accountant on 3-4 days per week.  Specific hours and days can be tailored to the successful candidate's requirements.  The role also comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
