Senior Manager/Partner Designate

 Location: Edinburgh
 Salary: £50-70,000
 Job type: Permanent
 Closes: closed

This Senior Audit Manager job in the Edinburgh area with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants is an excellent opportunity for an Audit and Accounts Manager or Senior  Manager to progress their career in a supportive, meritocratic and fun environment.  The firm is one of the fastest growing in Scotland, with excellent client and staff retention rates, and can offer a genuine career path for committed individuals to reach partner level.

As a result of a number of recent client wins, there now exists an opportunity for an experienced Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager to play a key part in the continued growth of the firm.  Working closely with the Directors and Partners, the Senior Audit Manager will plan and manage the effective, flow-through and completion of audit work for a number of select clients across Edinburgh and the Lothians, down to the Borders, and as far north as the North of Scotland.  As Senior Manager/Partner Designate, you will ensure that budgets and client expectations are met, work is completed in line with the firm’s audit policies and procedures, and that work is handled correctly from beginning to end, where conclusions are focused, complete and reasoned.

As Senior Manager, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients alike, keeping partners abreast of any issues/opportunities that could impact upon fee income.  To be successful, it is anticipated that you will be currently (recently) working in an audit capacity for a Big 4, Top 20 or leading independent firm.  You may be an experienced manager ready to step up to Senior Manager level, or already operating at Senior Audit Manager grade, but finding that your career path is now blocked in your current firm.  Regardless of your current position, you should be a good people manager and enjoy leading/developing an audit team.

This is a genuinely excellent opportunity for a skilled auditor looking to work in a fast-paced, yet fun environment, where there genuinely exists respect for a healthy work/life balance.
