Meraki Talent’s Asset Management client in Edinburgh are currently looking for a Portfolio Management Officer to join them on a permanent basis. The job holder will facilitate successful delivery of projects and change initiatives by providing concise and clear portfolio reporting, KPI tracking and monitoring and coaching of project and change managers. The job holder will be the gatekeeper for new business initiatives and act as the first point of contact towards the organisation. Together with peers, the job holder will facilitate global and multi-entity initiatives, align global portfolio reporting and help standardise ways of working across the organization. There will be a need to transition from a traditional waterfall approach to an agile way of working. If have great drive and energy and enjoy driving change through the business then this role could be a great career move. You will require strong influencing skills and enjoy being able to truly shape the role you are doing. This role will cover traditional PMO activities as well as offering the right candidate an opportunity to be in involved in more strategic elements. 

 

Responsibilities of the Portfolio Management Officer;

  • Portfolio planning, managing and reporting
  • Project Methodology
  • Financial and Benefit Management (in collaboration with Finance)
  • Communication and stakeholder management
  • Risk and Issue Management
  • Reporting
  • Document & Knowledge Management
  • Preparing Program Board meetings and taking minutes
  • Organise and coordinate Change Management events

 

Background of the Portfolio Management Officer;

  • Experience with (project) portfolio management methodologies
  • Proven experience of working in an agile organisation
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Structured thinker, good problem solving skills
  • Excellent influencing skills
