Meraki Talent has partnered with a global asset management to recruit a Product Development Manager – Illiquid Markets for their team in London. It’s an exciting time to join the business who are growing through an exciting period of change and growth globally.

The product development team help to ensure that the business has compelling products within the Illiquid market space to deliver to new and existing clients. This is a massive area of growth in the industry and would offer someone invaluable experience.


You would manage everything from strategy and research, through development and launch, to post launch review.


Some of the responsibilities of the Product Development Manager – Illiquid Markets:

  • Aligned to the corporate and product strategy, manage new product developments E2E including evaluating and proposing new product ideas with stakeholders across the business.
  • Contribute to product, vehicle and asset class strategy agendas.
  • Gain insight and understanding of customer trends, market movements, regulatory requirements and competitor activities.
  • Work closely and co-ordinate with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure that there is smooth transition through the various stages of a product development, from idea generation through to implementation.
  • Ensure all proposals are approved by requisite committees and boards before they are implemented.
  • Actively contribute and drive forward process enhancement initiatives.
  • Provide support to the US and Asia-Pacific product development teams in relation to funds/feeders involving European investment vehicles.

Background the of the Product Development Manager – Illiquid Markets:

  • Knowledge of alternative asset classes is highly desirable
  • CFA/CAIA/IMC or other asset management qualifications would be an advantage
  • Be able to demonstrate knowledge of Investment markets and relevant products
  • A thorough knowledge of key competition and the competitive environment within asset management
  • A strong working knowledge and experience of developing and managing closed and open-ended products is essential for this role
  • A good working knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment associated with investment product is essential
