Meraki Talent has been engaged to recruit a Revenue Accountant for an asset management firm in London. This position is a fixed term contract that will last anywhere between 12 – 15 months.

The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified accountant who will join to own the revenue and assets recognition processes while ensuring appropriate operation of controls and assist in analysis. There is also study support available for those that are seeking support whilst gaining their accountancy qualification.

   

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Group’s UK revenue recognition. Working with the UK operations teams and consultants to recognise and reconcile monthly revenue by division and entity.
  • To be responsible generating the UK’s client billing each month for all UK divisions and entities with Finance’s billing tool.
  • To be responsible for the Group’s UK debtor ledger. Month end reconciliations of aged debts by invoice and own the process for collection of invoices due from assets. Responsibility for monitoring aged debtors and over/underpayments and coordinating actions to remediate.
  • To be the subject matter expert on technical updates regarding revenue including accounting and tax updates. (VAT briefs and revenue recognition updates under IFRS)
  • Working with stakeholders within the business to produce revenue management information and introduce this to month-end procedures.
  • Preparation of and support for the reporting and analysis of Group assets and notional under management (AUM/NUM), including preparation of quarterly market updates for review by the Board.
  • Providing analytical support for the Finance function and wider business. Taking a role in the design of the reporting and performing in depth revenue analysis.
  • Monthly analysis of revenue to ensure completeness and accuracy of bookings.

 

Required Experience: 

  • A part-qualified accountant who is keen to continue with their qualification
  • Understanding of revenue accruals and deferred income
  • Have commercial awareness to be able to get involved in analytical tasks, largely from a revenue and asset perspective
  • Experience of computerised accounting systems, preferably SUN, including report writing
  • Strong spreadsheet manipulation skills and aptitude for Excel work
