Meraki Talent are currently recruiting on behalf of a global consulting firm expanding their team in Edinburgh with several risk modelling professionals looking to develop a career within a global consulting firm.


The firm are particularly keen to speak with candidates with credit risk modelling experience, across retail and wholsesale credit risk, looking to pursue a varied and rewarding career within consulting, servicing some of the world’s biggest financial services brands.


Responsibilities of the Risk Modelling Consultant:

  • Support clients in relation to IRB capital models
  • Support to Model Validation teams
  • Perform specialist review and validation of IFRS 9 credit risk models
  • Provide advice to banks relating to future generations of IFRS 9 models and IFRS 9 forecasting.
  • Advising our clients on credit risk stress testing model approaches.


Background of the Risk Modelling Consultant:

  • Strong general knowledge of credit risk concepts.
  • Experience in credit risk and modelling across Retail or Wholesale portfolios
  • Degree educated (or equivalent) in technical subject
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following (or similar): SAS, SQL, R, Python
