 Location: Glasgow
 Salary: £50-65,000 + Benefits
 Job type: Permanent
 Closes: closed

This external Senior Audit Manager job in Glasgow with one of Scotland's leading firms of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with an external audit background, to work with a varied, interesting and challenging client portfolio.  The firm has a range of corporate clients, ranging from smaller OMBs through to listed Plcs, as well as a broad range of charities and not-for-profit organisations.  The firm is renowned for quality and exceptional levels of customer service resulting in them winning a significant amount of new work.  The firm tends to take a holistic view of its clients' businesses, offering advice and support way beyond the traditional audit, accounts and tax work.

As a result of the aforementioned growth, there now exists an opportunity for a Senior Audit Manager to join the firm and work with a varied client portfolio.  Reporting directly to the partners and having full ownership of your portfolio, the Senior Audit Manager will have direct engagement with clients and plan and manage audit work across Glasgow and surrounding areas.  As Senior Audit Manager, you will ensure that budgets and client expectations are met, work is completed on time and handled correctly from beginning to end.

It is anticipated that the portfolio for the Senior Audit Manager will be a combination of corporate and charity clients, though there could be the opportunity for a "charity specialist" to assume full responsibility for all charity clients, should you so desire.  The firm is mindful of succession planning and is keen to hire an ambitious audit manager or audit senior manager who is looking to take on the role of RI or indeed possibly Director/Partner at some stage in the future.

To be successful, it is anticipated that you will be operating at Manager or Senior Manager grade in a Big 4, Top 20 or leading independent firm looking for a new and exciting challenge in a friendly and meritocratic environment.  This is a genuine and rare opportunity to join one of Scotland's fastest growing and highly respected firms of accountants in a truly "value-add" capacity.
