Our client, a leading global financial services business, is actively looking for a Service Delivery / Incident Man. Technical Change Manager to work within their team. The Service Delivery / Incident Man. Technical Change Manager will own the Small Change Management program for the business area, responsible for the delivery of trouble-free changes.  The Service Delivery / Incident Man. Technical Change Manager will work with various technical and application leads to align their activities with the change management. The candidate is expected to have solid knowledge and experience in all parts of the IT delivery life cycle. This role would suit an experienced Service Delivery or Incident Management managerial level professional, used to implementing change, looking for a purely change focused appointment. (N.B. This is not a traditional Project Manager or Change Manager role!)


Responsibility of the Service Delivery / Incident Man. Technical Change Manager:


- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of change management processes

- Ensure that all relevant teams follow the established policies and procedures, and provide management reports on progress

- Ensure the Change Advisory Board is effectively reviewing changes for compliance, accuracy, conflicts, and prevention of potential production issues

- Define, align, and deliver the Change Management function against a range of KPIs

- Set and manage change Audit controls including the provision of and updating of the Change policy

- Review high-risk technology changes for conflicts and appropriate procedures and present to the Change and Release governance forums.


Background of the Service Delivery / Incident Man. Technical Change Manager


- Extensive experience working within Service Delivery or Incident Management at a managerial or senior managerial level essential

- Experience working within financial services preferable but not essential

- Experience working within a large scale or large SME business essential

- Strong resource/staff management skills, able to manage resource aligned to business

- Experience in executing and delivering change as part of role (either from a BAU or project perspective) essential and to be exampled within CV

- Knowledge of ITIL processes, particularly around Change & Configuration Management would be helpful
