Meraki Talent’s investment management client is actively looking for two Systems/Platform Analysts to work within their team. The team are responsible for maintaining and developing the entire IT estate, ensuring systems run smoothly and constantly optimising and improving the technology.

The Systems/Platform Analyst is responsible for providing a stable infrastructure for the business, the team has a wide remit across many different technologies, the team doesn’t just work with the latest technology they work on it. Engaging with major suppliers they collaborate with them to explore possibilities and develop breakthrough solutions, frequently trialling innovative technologies, working with new before anyone else, helping to shape its functionality.


Responsibilities of the Systems/Platform Analyst:


- Work with the internal project teams on implementing new technology

- Liaise with vendors on level 3 support calls and troubleshooting

- Upgrade and maintenance of existing platforms including VMware and Dell EMC enterprise storage

- Automation of existing processes and procedures

- Ensure resilience and fault tolerance across the infrastructure


Background of the Systems/Platform Analyst:


- Hands on experience with VMware vSphere

- Support and development of enterprise monitoring platforms

- Although you don’t need to be an expert in both, there needs to be an appetite for working with, and learning more about, both Linux & Windows

- Scripting Skills preferable

- Configuration management technologies such as Ansible, Puppet, RedHat Satellite desirable

- Support skills for emerging technologies / platforms such as Kubernetes, Rancher & VxRail desirable

- Experience with network segmentation tools (NSX, Illumio) desirable

- Ability to work 0700 – 1500, 1 in every 5 weeks, standard hours aside from this
