Meraki Talent are working with a Financial Services stalwart in City Centre Glasgow, who are looking for a highly analytical and problem-solving Technical Data & Business Analyst. This opportunity sits within the IT Team and allows the Business Analyst to be involved in not only Business Analysis and Technical Analysis, but also Application Support. This Technical Data & Business Analyst role offers a great time to join the company who have ambitious plans for growth and development in the future.
Responsibilities of the Technical Data & Business Analyst
- The position has a wide remit, allowing the successful candidate to be involved in many aspects of business and technical analysis, integration and support delivery.
- Initially this role will be focused on a significant migration project
- Day to day support and administration for company applications and systems.
- Technical and Business Analysis, interfacing with the business and third-party suppliers to analyse business requirements, diagnose issues and to ensure solutions and fixes are in place
Background of the Technical Data & Business Analyst
- Experience in SQL Server with an understanding of DBA fundamentals (native backups, basic DBA scripting, maintenance of logs, etc.)
- Strong general data skills essential
- Understanding of database systems such as Oracle
- Previous experience migrating data from a variety of sources and legacy systems into current systems and relational databases preferable
- Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS beneficial
- Experience of query and stored procedure development.
