Meraki Talent is working with a global asset management house to recruit a UK Wholesale Business Development Manager for their London office. This is a key hire for the team and will have an impact on the overall sales strategy for the business. With a fantastic brand behind you, the successful candidate will be expected to build on existing as well as developing new client relationships     

 

The role would suit someone coming from a strong Wholesale Sales background who has a track record in winning new business and managing strategic relationships.

 

Key responsibilities of the UK Wholesale Business Development Manager:

 

  • Take ownership of a designated sales area– prioritisation of accounts, research, prospecting. Scheduling meetings, arranging client entertainment, etc, as appropriate.
  • Help develop, formation and achievement of the UK team sales and marketing strategy.
  • Achieve sales as per agreed sales targets. Establish personal and company credibility, identify appropriate solutions, build client relationships and negotiate/agree the sale.
  • Deliver account management plans as per the sales plan.
  • Managing internal contacts to support sales activity. This involves the development of relationships with fund managers and support staff, and the provision of feedback on market and client knowledge to support and develop retail business strategy.

 

 

Background of the UK Wholesale Business Development Manager:

  • Have a track record in delivering sales results in the UK Wholesale marketplace and
  • Be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the wider investment world, including investment markets.
  • Have a strong technical understanding of various financial products within asset management
