Calum Rodger

After graduating with an MA in English Literature, Calum began his recruitment career with Meraki, bringing with him a varied background that gives him a particularly strong understanding of the candidate experience.

Throughout university, Calum combined his studies with a number of different roles, including working as a Financial Analyst at the University of Edinburgh and as a Senior Operations Assistant with Lloyds. Having experienced temporary and contract work first-hand within Financial Services, he understands the importance of finding the right opportunity, receiving clear communication and having the support of a recruiter throughout an assignment.

This experience now shapes the way Calum works with his own candidates. He takes the time to understand their experience, circumstances and career ambitions, providing an approachable, honest and professional service from the initial conversation through to interview, onboarding and beyond.

Working alongside Meraki's established Financial Services team, Calum supports clients with temporary and contract hiring requirements, helping businesses access talented professionals when they need additional capacity, specialist expertise or greater workforce flexibility. He is developing an extensive network across the Financial Services community and enjoys building relationships with candidates at different stages of their careers.

Communication and honesty are central to Calum's approach. Whether supporting someone looking for their next contract or helping a client respond to an urgent resourcing requirement, his aim is to make the recruitment process straightforward, transparent and genuinely personable.

Outside of work, Calum is a keen yogi and avid reader. When he's not on the yoga mat or absorbed in a good book, he's happiest enjoying great music and dancing with friends.
